The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, Tecno Spark Slim and Pova Slim, and, of course, the iPhone Air will all soon have some (more) competition. This time it’s Motorola jumping into the extra-thin phone trend.
The brand has started teasing the Moto X70 Air, and it’s all very obvious from that name, isn’t it? In case you still had doubts about how this device is meant to be positioned in the market, take a look at the official teaser image below.
That’s clearly a shot meant to emphasize its thinness. If you’re intrigued, thankfully you won’t have a lot longer to wait to find out all the details about the X70 Air, as it’s promised to become official by the end of October. Only a few short weeks to go, then.
Rumor has it the handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, as Motorola was named as one of the launch partners for that chip. Unfortunately, there’s no other information about the X70 Air at the moment, but we do have to mention that the X series is China-only.
Internationally, we might be getting the same device in the Edge family, with or without on the nose Air branding – in fact, last week an Edge 70 promotional image was purportedly leaked showing the tagline “incredibly thin and incredibly tough”. We’ll let you know when we find out more.
